pei tel Presents Intercom System and Monitoring Solution

Communicate conveniently and safely from a closed vehicle or between up to three spatially separated vehicle areas: This is what the new cascadable system for intercom and intercom PTIntercom offers. The retrofit solution with digital signal processing and echo cancellation using a digital signal processor (DSP) for interference-free voice input and output can be used both indoors and outdoors and can be expanded with a wide range of audio components such as handsets, hands-free microphones, loudspeakers, PTT buttons and hand microphones. This means that the system can be used flexibly by emergency services, fire brigades, police, security providers or transport companies. Another innovation is PTSmartMonitoring, a SIM-to-SIM monitoring solution for convenient monitoring of fixed radio systems without having to access server-based OMC systems from repeater manufacturers. pei tel Communications GmbH will be presenting PTIntercom and PTSmartMonitoring as well as numerous other in-house products and products from other suppliers at the PMRExpo in Cologne from 28 November to 30 November in Hall 8.1, Stand F34-G35.

"As in other business areas, solutions that are characterised by a high degree of flexibility are increasingly in demand for safety-critical communication. With PTIntercom, the individual components can be installed at the relevant points as required and supplemented with suitable audio accessories according to the modular principle," explains Matthias Peucker, Product Manager at pei tel. The bundle of the retrofittable intercom system consists of an electronics box, two hands-free microphones, two loudspeakers, two cable whips for accessory devices and a power supply cable. A large selection of compatible audio and accessory components is also available depending on requirements. The intercom system can be operated at the touch of a button (push-to-talk) or in hands-free mode and has excellent acoustic properties. It also fulfils the requirements of EN 1789:2000 for rescue vehicles and their equipment.

The PTSmartMonitoring solution uses the latest VPN technology to enable simple and efficient remote monitoring and access to an object radio system. Multi-operator SIM cards ensure the best possible network coverage. This means that even systems in the most remote areas can be monitored. In the event of an alarm, the 4G router installed on site automatically sends an e-mail to an address defined by the customer. The technical staff can then access the devices behind the router remotely using smartphones or tablets via the mobile network and an encrypted tunnel connection. This enables remote diagnostics and fault detection. Visitors to PMRExpo can see PTSmartMonitoring and the PTIntercom intercom system for themselves at the pei tel stand. The developer, manufacturer and distributor of communication solutions will also be showcasing numerous other in-house developments such as various microphone types, handsets, loudspeakers, desktop intercoms and audio accessories as well as products from other companies in the Peiker family. Prominent co-exhibitors such as HUBER+SUHNER and KATHREIN DS will also be on the stand to explain their range of professional radio and infrastructure technology to trade visitors.
